Bursary Scheme 2026
We are pleased to introduce our 2026 bursary scheme, supporting Tai Chi & Qigong students across the UK and Ireland in attending workshops and developing as instructors.
A total of £1,500 is available, funded by Dr Janet Cromb and Long Eaton Tai Chi & Qigong.
£1,000 Workshop Support
Support for participants attending TCHI classes in the UK and Ireland, helping them take part in workshops with a Master Trainer or Dr Lam.
£500 Instructor Support
Support for individuals who would like to train and develop as Tai Chi instructors.
How the bursary works
Participants can apply for a maximum of £50 per year towards in-depth workshops, with a one-off payment available for those pursuing instructor training. The scheme runs from May to April.
Who can apply?
You should be a regular class attendee and be familiar with the warm-up and form of the workshop from memory.
Supporting the Bursary
Income from UK TCHI polo shirt sales and instructor courses run by Long Eaton Tai Chi & Qigong will be added to the bursary fund.
Donations are also very welcome. The greater the fund, the more people we can support.
