What type of classes do we offer?

Yang Style Tai Chi

This flowing and graceful form features 8, 16, and 24-step and 16 step sword.

The 24-step form is well known internationally and practiced everywhere.

Qigong

(Chinese Standing Yoga)

Enhance your flexibility, strength and mood. with our British Health Qigong Association routines.

These graceful exercises require minimal space and are perfect for complementing your health and wellness programme.

Sun Style Tai Chi: Beginners

Sun Style is a more contained form for all abilities due to its higher stance, it can be more suited for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, and balance challenges. Tailored for beginners, this class introduces the Sun Style short form and tai chi principles, incorporating Tai Chi for Health warm-ups, Qigong relaxation techniques, using the stepwise teaching method for easier learning of new movements.

Sun Style Tai Chi: Advanced

These classes present the Sun 73 long form, incorporating Tai Chi for Health warm-ups, Qigong relaxation techniques, using the stepwise teaching method for easier learning of new movements.

How much do classes cost?

We offer a variety of pricing options, including single-class sessions and special rates for combined sessions on certain days. All prices are listed below. Please note that some classes include a refreshment break that are included in the price.

Sun Style Tai Chi & Qigong**

Both Monday Classes

£8 with refreshments included

Both Thursday Classes*

**Changes to our Tuesday Classes

Starting on 7th October, and running until 16th December, the current Tuesday class will change from a combined session to two separate classes along with a 20 minute refreshement break. The price for the day will change from £6 to £8. You’ll have the option to attend one or both classes for the same price.

*Changes to our Thursday Classes

The Sun Style Tai Chi, Cuppa & Chat and the Qigong classes are all combined on this day. All abilities welcome. Seated or standing for a subsidised price of just £4.

Where are our classes located?

All of our classes take place at Petersham Community Hall, Grasmere Road, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, NG10 4DZ.

Once you’ve signed up, we’ll email you a health form. We’ll also send payment details. After we receive your payment, we’ll email you more information about starting your classes.
